"I feel so fortunate to have worked with Chelsea and Christopher on my new home. Two years after my husband passed away from pancreatic cancer, my 15-year-old daughter and I purchased a 115-year-old house in Kirkwood as a fresh start, having lived in our previous home for 19 years.
Chelsea and Christopher began by visiting our old home to understand what styles we loved and what we didn’t. Once we moved into the new house, they brought fabric swatches, wallpaper, and paint options, and we dove in together. My vision was a home that felt welcoming and peaceful, with a feminine touch that wasn’t frilly. I had purchased a piece of art for the dining room, and they perfectly made it the focal point of the entryway.
The process was so much fun. Communication was constant, and although some ideas felt risky to me (I had never considered wallpaper—let alone on the ceiling), their enthusiasm was contagious. Taking those risks paid off—we ended up with perfection. Their vendors were also outstanding. While friends often complain about struggling to find reliable painters, electricians, or carpenters, Chelsea has built a trusted team who hold themselves to her high standards. Every person involved exceeded my expectations.
I especially appreciated how thoughtful they were in incorporating my existing furniture. Pieces I never would have imagined working now fit seamlessly. New lighting throughout the home is both stunning and reasonably priced. Our TV room feels spacious and serene, while new furniture elevated its comfort and style.
The kitchen—wow. Even without major renovations, Chelsea transformed the space with a striking gallery wall, a beautiful piece over the banquette that always sparks conversation, and lighted cabinets turned into a library to reflect our love of books.
My bedroom feels like it belongs in a magazine, with a magnificent chandelier, a custom headboard, and luxurious curtains that completely transformed the space. My daughter’s uniquely shaped bedroom became beautiful and functional with thoughtful lighting that highlights the paneled ceiling, a lovely repurposed dresser, and a new rug and bedding.
When I recommend Chelsea, I simply invite people into my home. I tell them my goal was to create a space that’s warm, inviting, and peaceful—a place where you’d love to have a glass of wine and not worry if you spill. After the tour, I encourage them to decide for themselves whether she met that vision. So far, everyone has called her. She listens, she understands, and she delivers."
